TRAINING FOR DATA COLLECTORS/DATA ENTRY FOR ACTION STUDY

This event took place at the Crown Plaza Mutiara Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on 8th-9th December 2011. 120 delegates from 8 ASEAN countries who are involved in this study participated.

The training was facilitated by Merel Kimman and Helen Monaghan from George Institute, Australia Malaysian participants from 15 MOH hospitals took part. Dr Goh Pik Pin as CRC director represented the Malaysian sites at the “Met the press” session. As the training was hands on and had interview practice sessions, participants became better acquainted with the study procedures. Participants had open discussion with the George Institute team. Malaysian sites are expected to start recruiting patients in January 2012 as this study has been approved by MREC (Ministry of Health Medical Research & Ethics Committee) Malaysia.
