The National Healthcare Statistics Initiative (NHSI) is a family of surveys which were conducted with the aim to support evidence-based health policy making and research in Malaysia. Owing to the support of various stakeholders and recognition of the usefulness of data in bridging the gap between research and policy, the NHSI has grown in credibility and gained greater participation over the past 4 years. Annual reports are being published for most of the surveys under the NHSI project based on the respective findings.
