www.nmrr.gov.my, the NMRR supports the implementation of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) guidelines on the conduct of research in the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH).
The NMRR meets the requirement that all research involving personnel, facilities or funds from MOH research grants be registered, reviewed and approved by appropriate authorities. Registration on the NMRR ensures transparency and increases public trust in the conduct of medical research. It is also informs physicians and prospective volunteers about ongoing research in which they may wish to enroll. It helps reduce processing time, enable easy access, captures data on research in the MOH, and allows management to track progress.
A Directory of Medical Research is a listing of registered research and publications where available and the Directory of Clinical Investigator & Medical Researchers publishes all registered investigators. When fully rolled out, the NMRR directories will enable sponsors of clinical trials to identify suitably qualified clinical investigators to participate in their multi-centre trials.
