1. Support national CRC research activities by equipping participating departments with ICT infrastructure and coordinating placement of research nurse/ officer/ assistant. There are 31 CRC registries and 7 cases that are ongoing.
2. Assist the Hospital Director in clinical research application and approval, including protocol review, institutional approval and clinical trial agreement.
3. Promote research activities in MOH by assisting and coordinating feasibility study from industry and referral to CRC- one stop centre. There were 8 requests of feasibility study received in last 6 months mainly from CROs of Singapore.
4. Ensure readiness of clinicians to become researchers by organizing research related training courses and GCP certification workshops as well as encouraging them to register with NMRR as investigators.
5. Establish and maintain database of local research activities and strength through the CRC research liaison officers from each department, client need survey and feedback from administration office.
6. Maintaining nmrr secretariat for Johor researches.
