History

Network CRC was set up in HSA in 2006. Dr. Hooi Lai Seong was the chair lady of The Technical Research Committee HSAJB then. Technical Research Committee HSAJB was a committee that had been set up in 1999 by a group of clinicians with interest in research. Hospital Director was the advisor and the members were appointed by the Hospital Director. Some of its roles include giving advice to Hospital Director on research related issues such as research protocol review and applications approval, organizing research methodology and GCP training courses. On 5 Apr 07 Hospital Director of HSAJB called for meeting to dissolve TRCHSAJB and absorbed all the members to form committee for CRCHSA. CRC head and few new members were appointed.

Now, we are known as HCRC and have six dedicated staff members.
