The CRC-Ipoh officially began functioning in March 2001 when the Hospital's Medical Advisor Committee (MAC) appointed Dr Amar Singh to head the CRC in Ipoh. As part of the Network of Clinical Research Centres of the Ministry of Health (MOH). CRC HI is responsible for conducting quality and ethical research to improve patient outcome in Hospital Ipoh.
