| Health Minister supports patient registries and healthcare surveys |

 Health Minister, YB Dato’ Liow Tiong Lai met CRC Heads to discuss the centre’s ten year progress. YB was very supportive of data resources that CRC was developing and promised to ensure that resources were allocated for such worthy objectives. Some of CRC's projects which include patient registries for critical diseases such as cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases and Malaysian statistics such as inpatient hospital care services are necessary to fill the serious gap in the country’s healthcare data. Dato’ Liow Tiong Lai was particularly interested in the relevance of this information for policy making.
